about:Coexpression Networks of Addiction-Related Genes in the Mouse and Human Brain

Founded in 1890, Cold Spring Harbor Lab is a private, non-profit institution with research programs in cancer, neuroscience, plant biology, genomics, and bioinformatics and a broad educational mission.

The Mitra laboratory (PI Partha Mitra) combines theoretical, computational and experimental approaches for the study of complex biological systems, with a particular focus on neurobiological questions. Efforts in our group fall into three main areas: Neuroinformatics, Theoretical Engineering and Quantitative Behavior & Electrophysiology.

The Brain Architecture Project is directed by Dr. Partha Mitra at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and seeks to gather knowledge about the structure of the mammalian nervous system. The project combines informatics and experimental approaches, including analysis of gene expression patterns (as represented in this web tool) and experimental efforts to comprehensively determine the mesoscopic connectivity patterns in the adult mouse brain.

The Allen Mouse Brain Atlas is an interactive, genome-wide image database of gene expression.

A combination of RNA in situ hybridization data, detailed Reference Atlases and informatics analysis tools are integrated to provide a searchable digital atlas of gene expression. Together, these resources present a comprehensive online platform for exploration of the brain at the cellular and molecular level.
